Expecting a baby? Use this calculator to find out your Estimated Due Date (EDD). By entering the first day of your Last Menstrual Period (LMP) and your cycle length, we calculate exactly when your baby is due and how far along you currently are.
If your last period started on Jan 1st, and you have a typical 28-day cycle, your estimated due date is Oct 8th (280 days later).
The calculator provides an estimate. Only about 5% of babies are born exactly on their due date, but it gives your doctor a baseline to track fetal development. Most babies arrive between 38 and 42 weeks.
The standard 280-day rule assumes a 28-day menstrual cycle where ovulation occurs on day 14. If your cycle is longer (e.g., 32 days), you likely ovulated later, which pushes your due date back slightly.
